Tinnitus UK and Veterans Welfare Group Launch New Online Hub to Support Armed Forces Community
Tinnitus UK has partnered with the Veterans Welfare Group to launch a brand-new online hub designed to support veterans, service personnel, and their families living with tinnitus.
The Armed Forces Tinnitus Hub offers trusted guidance, real-life experiences, and practical tools to help those affected by the condition, which impacts an estimated 1 in 7 people in the UK, with military and veteran communities at particular risk due to noise exposure during service.
Understanding Civilian Finances & Budgeting
The new hub includes:
- Veteran Voices: Real Stories – lived experience interviews that focus on resilience and hope.
- Sound Off – a new six-part education course and support group for Service Members, veterans, families and support workers coming soon.
- Trusted Information & Guidance – expert advice on tinnitus, hearing protection, and management strategies.
- Signposting to Vital Services – Direction on the best services for the Armed Forces community, including employment, mental health, and financial support.
The hub also connects users to wider Tinnitus UK services, including the helpline, support groups, and downloadable resources, while Veterans Welfare Group provides direct pathways to further veteran-specific help.
Danny Knight, Partnerships Manager at Tinnitus UK, said:
“There are 500,000 UK veterans with tinnitus and hearing trauma who face unique challenges because our healthcare system is not designed with them in mind. They are falling through a gap between MOD and NHS care that no one else with tinnitus has to face. This hub has been built to provide expert information, solidarity and hope from those who’ve walked the same path. It’s about giving the Armed Forces community practical tools, trusted advice, and a reminder that they’re not alone.”

“We’re proud to partner with Tinnitus UK to launch the Armed Forces Tinnitus Hub, a vital resource that will make a real difference to veterans’ lives. Too many in our community face the daily challenges of tinnitus linked to their service. By working together, we’re ensuring veterans and their families can access trusted support, shared experiences, practical tools, and veteran-led guidance across a wide range of services.”
National Rehabilitation Week
The launch of the hub is ahead of National Rehabilitation Week (22 September) and will be featured in Tinnitus UK’s national magazine Quiet and professional newsletter Focus.
